Part no: AMARW1730 - Question: How to set monitor to 1920x1080 resolution.
Customer Question: When we plug it into a PC windows thinks it is a 1920x1200 monitor (recommended resolution). If we choose 1920x1080 as the resolution the monitor puts black bars at the top and bottom of the screen... if we leave it at 1920x1200 resolution the image is squat (a circle on the screen is wider than it is tall).
There is nothing in the menu system to specify to the monitor we want to run at the native 1920x1080 resolution.
Can you please detail how to get the monitor to report to Windows with the HDMI connection that it is a 1080p resolution so that the imagery gets scaled correctly?
Answer: Make sure the Refresh Rate is set to 60Hz to set the monitor to 1920x1080 resolution.
