Keyboard not working

Part No.: ASKW2400S - Case 6-110804 - Question: Keyboard not working.

Customer Issue:
We tried to disconnect and connect the cable, but keyboard didn’t work. Actually, the cable of keyboard and touchpad is the same.

We already tried:
  1. -connect and disconnect as questioned;
  2. -restart the computer same times;
  3. -connect to another USB-port;
  4. -connect to another computer.
At all attempts the keyboard didn’t work

Solutions:
As there are two possibilities that leads the keyboard no working - KB controller PCB is defective or keyboard is not functional with the rear IO PCB.

Please attempt Troubleshooting 1 first.
Troubleshooting 1: Change the keyboard controller PCB. 

If the keyboard is still not working, please attempt Troubleshooting 2.
Trouble shooting 2: Add a small USB HUB PCB at the rear. Follow the instruction below.


1. Remove screw x 6 to open rear cover.


2. Jump the pin of keyboard cable:


3. There are two connections to be changed Note: On the Dupont connector, Red wire is 5V 


4. Make the test and stable the new HUB PCB like this:
