Part No.: NVIP117162e - Case 109950 _ Question: How to reset Combo KVM Board (standalone KVM)
Question: Hello iTech team. I am having some issues with the new KVM recently ordered and installed in Dallas. I was able to setup the NVIP117162e (SN/S2027790520125-1120G001-109950) and get it added to the network but when I add the extender NVS1601 I see that it adds the bank 2 but I am not able to control any servers hooked to NVS1601 from the KVM. If I hit SL+SL+space bar I can page up and page down to get to bank 2 but still not able to control any servers. What steps can I take to troubleshoot this further or do I have faulty equipment?
Answer: Follow the steps below to reset Combo KVM Board (standalone KVM).
Before your work, please make sure that the power is disconnected.
Step 1: Remove the casing cover screws.
(2 on the top, 3 on the bottom, 2 on each side)
Step 2: Find the jumper J7 (green board) or J8 (red board), then use either paper clip or scissors to touch the two boxes of J7/J8, then plug in the power while holding the jumper in order to close/short the jumper 5 ~ 10 second, then you will hear beep sound when it reset.
Step 3: Please reverse the procedures to assemble back the unit.
